Booking & Pricing
How much do lessons cost?
A 30-minute lesson is £30 and a 60-minute lesson is £50. Package deals are available: 5 × 30-minute lessons for £120 (save £30) or 5 × 60-minute lessons for £200 (save £50). Payment is taken securely online at time of booking.
How do I book a lesson?
You can book online via the Book a Lesson page — choose your lesson type, pick a date and time that suits you, and pay securely. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel or reschedule your lesson up to 24 hours before the start time at no charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable.
Can I buy lessons as a gift?
Yes — gift vouchers are available. Please get in touch via the contact page or email mail.heppy@gmail.com to arrange a gift voucher.
The Lessons
What should I bring to my first lesson?
Just bring yourself and any clubs you have. If you're a complete beginner and don't have clubs yet, don't worry — we can arrange clubs for your first session. Wear comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes. Range balls are included in all lessons.
Do you coach complete beginners?
Absolutely. James coaches golfers of all levels, from people who have never held a club to low-handicap players preparing for competition. There is no level too beginner or too advanced.
How many lessons will I need?
That depends entirely on your current level and goals. Some golfers see big changes in 2-3 sessions; others benefit from regular ongoing coaching. James will give you an honest assessment after your first lesson and suggest what makes sense for you.
Will you use video analysis?
Yes — video analysis is available in lessons and is incredibly useful for understanding your swing. Seeing exactly what your body is doing (rather than what it feels like) speeds up improvement significantly.
Do you use Toptracer?
White Hills Driving Range is equipped with Toptracer-enabled bays. Toptracer tracks ball speed, distance, trajectory, and shot shape in real time — the same technology used in tour broadcasts. It makes practice more measurable and more fun.
Location & Facilities
Where exactly is White Hills Driving Range?
White Hills Driving Range is on Broughton Road, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 1EE. There is ample free parking on site. It's approximately 5 minutes from Skipton town centre by car.
What are your coaching hours?
Lessons are available Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Use the online booking system to see live availability.
Is there parking?
Yes — there is free parking directly at White Hills Driving Range.
Junior Coaching
What age do you coach juniors from?
Junior coaching is available for golfers aged 7 to 16. Younger children can also be considered — just get in touch to discuss.
Do juniors need their own clubs?
It helps to have junior-sized clubs, but it's not essential for a first lesson. James can advise on the best clubs for your child's size and age.
